Purpose of The Design for Analytics Academy Level 1

The Design for Analytics Academy will teach you the basics of DHIS2 system configuration. This course focuses on key design concepts in DHIS2 and covers best practices in setting up and maintaining a high quality instance. The course will take participants step by step through the process of contriving and setting up the DHIS2 required metadata used for further system configurations, with the exception of event and case-based data which are to be covered in other DHIS2 academies.

The Academy is organized with four main purposes:

  1. Introduction to DHIS2 Basic Design Principles
  2. DHIS2 Designing with Analysis thinking
  3. System Settings and Access Control
  4. Configuration of DHIS2 Analytics

Learning Objectives

  • Introduction to DHIS2 design, customization and analytical principles
  • Learning on creating, administering and maintaining DHIS2 metadata
  • Learn how certain components can be configured to better support the analysis of data
  • Learning on DHIS2 data analytics app and configuration
  • Discuss and demonstrate the use of in-built tools within DHIS2
  • Walkthrough on the use of supplementary tools that can be added to DHIS2
  • Experience sharing among different implementers

Pre-requisite

A completion certificate awarded during a previous DHIS2 Academy or having completed the Online Course on DHIS2 Fundamentals.

Format

The Digital Academy will be conducted by our DHIS2 experts. Content remains the same, only the method of delivery differs!

Participation agreement

Once registered, the Academy team will send you a participation agreement which will mention the nature of the training, duration and modalities of participation.

As soon as you send us the signed version of the agreement (which shall include your employer's signature and yours), we will send you, within 7 days, a confirmation of participation. This confirmation will be sent along with a short quiz that you will be invited to fill in at your earliest convenience. This will enable us to make sure the workshop matches your needs and expectations.

Facilitators

A practical training program will make sure the facilitators and participants can work together on learning the principles and skills in DHIS2 designing, analysis and presentation of data. With an emphasis on experience and solution sharing among countries and to promote networking and collaboration among DHIS2 implementers in the region, this academy will include several global and regional DHIS2 experts where you will be able to discuss your requirements and implementations during the academy.
